We headed to San Antonio for a few days last week to visit SeaWorld with the boys. We really had a fun time. We spent our first day going to Market Square and visiting with my cousin, Tony.
We spent 1 1/2 days at Sea World. The first day was lots of fun. The second morning, Benjamin woke up at 3:30am vomitting, and then Timothy woke up around 8:30am doing the same thing. We stayed close to the hotel for the remainder of the morning and early afternoon to make sure the "virus" was over, and luckily, it was a one-time deal for both of them.
I'm pretty sure "swimming" and more than likely, swallowing, that heated, germ/pee infested pool water is what did it, but I can't be sure. Nonetheless, it didn't slow us down for long or ruin our trip! Below, are some shots of our trip and all of the fun we had while we were there.
Abby wants to go too, but she stayed at the vet!
My cousin Tony with the boys. Timothy was named after Tony and his brother Tim. Tony lives in San Antonio so it was so nice to catch up with him, and his friend, Nancy.
Harry poses with the boys in front of SeaWorld!
SEAWORLD!!!!
All of my boys in front of the alligators!
Tiimothy is dancing before the Sea Lion show.
Sea Lions are so cute!!!!
Benjamin sees the sea lions up high about to dive off into the water.
There he goes!
The boys give each other some "love" before the Shamu show!
SHAMU!
SHAMU!
Benjamin is a little obsessed with reading the map! By the time we left, he actually could point to things on the map, and tell you what they were! It was very cute!
Mr. Cool.....with his sunglasses, eating his cheetos.
Benjamin LOVED the Shamu roller coaster! He road it many times!
It's hard to see in this picture - but he wanted to ride it all by himself (without his daddy). Here he is riding it all by himself. (He's the 3rd car from the back in the yellow shirt.)
SeaWorld is so much fun!!!!
Timothy woke up from his nap a very happy boy!
The play structure was lots of fun! Here the boys are climbing up the ropes!
Benjamin is trying to climb from the ropes to the tube....
After making his way through a maze of tubes, he finds the slide! (I think Harry was helping Timothy somewhere else in the play structure.)
Timothy is one cool dude too.
Benjamin's turn to take a nap - it must be time to head back to the hotel!
At the recommendation of my friend, Jana, we ate at La Fogata - our new favorite place to eat in San Antonio!
Benjamin was cold, so I tied two napkins around him to help warm him up!
Back at the hotel, the boys play in the heated kiddie pool - only 1.6 feet deep. Timothy stops and poses and he enters the pool.
I love this picture of Benjamin - the sun was perfect for the shot.
Both boys underneath a waterfall (coming from the big/adult pool). Such a sweet/cute picture of the two of them looking at each other!
Benjamin (and later Timothy) jumping from the side! We made them stop this since the pool was only about 1 feet deep there. They had skinned up knees and feet from sliding and jumping in such shallow water.
I took this shot just to show how shallow the water was - I find it amusing!
Benjamin trying to go under the waterfall.
Timothy has no problem going under it!
Timothy saw a young girl doing cart-wheels so he is attempting his own version! So funny!
My sweet Timothy......LOVE THIS SHOT!
Benjamin takes such a different approach! :-)
Every night, the hotel lit several fire pits outside and played a cartoon movie on a big brick wall! It was very neat. The boys were too cold after getting out of the heated pool to stay outside too long, but it was such a neat concept, and many families enjoyed it!
Two tired boys watching Mary Poppins in the hotel before bed-time.
One morning, Benjamin watching Pinnochio and eating cheerios in bed..........with his red cowboy hat purchased at Market Square.
Timothy is such a good little sleeper. Here he is sleeping soundly in the pack-n-play. Every night he would ask to go night-night in his "bed."
Benjamin takes a nap on the couch.
Another 1/2 day at SeaWorld.... Here the boys watch the dolphins!
Benjamin sees a shark! He keeps saying over and over, "I LOVE sharks!"
Our last morning, Timothy poses with Benjamin's hat on his head!
On our way home, we stop and take pictures of the bluebonnets. I LOVE BLUEBONNETS!
I love this shot! Benjamin cracks me up (so unlike him), and Timothy is thinking about something...not sure what.
Timothy was trying so hard to smile, but the sun was in his eyes!
Goodnight SeaWorld, Goodnight Shamu, Goodnight rollercoaster, Goodnight swimming pool with waterfalls, Goodnight Dolphins, Goodnight Bluebonnets, Goodnight San Antonio, Goodnight Texas!

SO many things to comment on...
ReplyDeleteI love the photo of Benjamin holding Timothy's cheeks at Seaworld -- pure sweetness. SHAMU is beautiful! I can't believe Benjamin rode the roller coaster by himself -- awesome! That play area looks really neat, and the shallow pool, too. I love that little froggy blanket Timothy is sleeping on, what is that?? Bluebonnet pics are gorgeous -- great shots!!
I'm so glad your trip was so much fun despite the stomach virus. Thank goodness that was short-lived! The pictures look so fun that it makes me want to visit SeaWorld! Thanks for sharing!
