The Laubachs Visit

We were blessed with a visit from our friends, Tricia and Adam Laubach, and three of their four kiddos!   They are currently living in Switzerland (Adam is there for business reasons), but we hope to have them back in Texas in the next year or so!  Tricia's mom, Linda (a/k/a MeMe), also stayed for a few days.  The boys LOVED MeMe!  Timothy took right to her, which is very rare.  Linda is like a second mom to me so it was so nice having her for a few days.

Tricia and I grew up together.  Our parents met when I was 3 years old, and they were the best of friends by the time I was 5!  Throughout our childhood, we took family vacations together, and we always were on deer leases together - which meant hunting and fishing together....along with spending all holidays and school breaks together (Spring Break, Summer Break, Thanksgiving, & Christmas).  Bottom line - Tricia and her family ARE family.

We had such a nice visit - celebrating Adam's 40th birthday.....catching up.....and spending time with the kids.  Reagan (12), their oldest daughter, was in Chicago visiting with friends, but Benjamin and Timothy thoroughly enjoyed spending time with Carter & Kennedy (8 - twins), and Mikki (2 1/2). 

Benjamin came home yesterday from school and was very upset that Mikki and "all of the other friends" weren't here!!!!  He and Timothy so enjoyed playing with Mikki - I think they thought all of the Laubachs were here to stay!  I've included a few pictures, below, to show how much fun the kids had together!
